Final Thoughts on Big Brother

Big Brother, the last days.

Well, it’s all over….. and I’m FREE…. finally.

Firstly, Madlen Flint won Big Brother…. and the island, so I congradulate her on the win. A lot of people are questioning the results, but I don’t really have any reason to do so. However, I will admit that I am *very* disappointed that Golda did not win. Between Madlen and Golda, sorry, Golda was the better player and had done and endured far more than Madlen had. Of course, Big Brother was not a contest about who did what….. but I do stand by the statement of idealism. While Madlen is nice enough and a builder, most of Madlen’s time in Big Brother consisted of being away from the keyboard and using an anti-idle HUD to clock her time with very little active time in the house, while Golda on the otherhand, spent as much time as I did (often up to 12-16 hours per day) without using any away time at all.

Secondly, I had said from the beginning I had no illusion of winning Big Brother….. and I achieved what I had set out to do in Big Brother. In fact, with all the wonderful friends I’ve made, I achieved a lot more than I had set out to do. The most interesting thing is, once I was out and travelling around…. more than one person had commented, “Hey, you’re Lillani from Big Brother!”

Thirdly, to all my friends and supporters…. I can’t thank you enough for all the support, encouragement, and condolences I’ve gotten. And yes, I’m sticking to the promise I made. Win or lose, I would have a party to celebrate my friendships! I certainly will, but first I want to take a week or so and just enjoy a little bit of seclusion and personal time to myself and my closest friends. After being 35 days in the eye of the public….. I just need a little vacation.

To summarize, the last couple days of Big Brother itself were rather interesting, or undirected, I should say. Our final task was to create a “victory party” for the winner. However, with only a few days to do it, only three housemates, and our very differing timeschedules we had very little organization or ability to do anything. This, of course, was topped off by the fact every time we asked the Big Brother crew for some sort of format for the ending we were given no answers. That, however, had been typical of Big Brother from Day 1, so it was really no surprise that things ended the way they started….. chaotic and with disorganization.

Now…. I’ve been saving the best for last.

After several months of avoiding any sort of relationships in Second Life I have collared a lovely young woman by the name of Emmalyn Wei. She is absolutely adorable….. I met her in the second week or so of Big Brother and I’ve spent many a hour talking with her through the glass of my Big Brother prison. Face to face, but always apart. As soon as I was released (and adjusting to the non-blueness of the world), I took Emmalyn about Second Life, and together we started our journey in Second Life. I, as her Mistress. She, as my submissive. She is quite special to me.

My Shop. It was *so* good to see the Dictatorshop again. As soon as they announced the winner I was out of Big Brother like a bolt and lightning and inside my Shop swooning over every brick which I dearly missed for the past 35 days. Officially, however, I’m on vacation! I’m not even going around to check on my vendors for a few days until I get settled back into the surreal world. And ideas for new products, I have them…. and plenty of them! Once my little personal hiatus is over, I’m going back into production at full steam.

And right now….. that’s all I have to say! :)

The End of Days

We are in the final stretch of Big Brother….. the last three days of the competition, and who will win is anybody’s guess, but I do have a very good idea who I think will.

We were given a notice today that in about 15 hours we be moved from this island and transported to the island which will be handed over to the winner at the end of the contest. What we will be doing on this island is anyone’s guess…. we’re not being told anything else outside of the notice that we are being transported. Maybe they’ll take us to the island, away from everyone, and then shoot us. I fulyl expect people to sneak into the room using invisiprim cloaks, slipping black hoods over our heads, throwing us in a trunk, and then transporting off onto a desert island somewhere out of teleport range, and eitherkill us or leave us stranded.

At any rate, myself and Golda have started an odd sort of band where I play the accordian with roosters on my head and she rat-a-tat-tats on the drums….. and a dozen midgets form a line outside of our box and begin doing a jig. But then, this is what happens after 31 days of being cooped up in a blue box. In three days, we will have our freedom.

Personally, I can’t wait to get back to my secluded little sandbox.

Final Three

Well, here we are….. we are down into the final three housemates.

Myself, Golda Stein, and Madlen Flint.

Like the last elimination, this one was both good and bad, and it had a couple of pleasant surprises. The good thing being, we are finally reaching the end of this bizarre journey which has had its moments of ups and downs. The bad thing being, we had to watch some of our friends leave this journey and start another of their own, but of course….. none will ever be forgotten, at least, not by me.

The housemates thought I deserved to be voted as the favorite resident, and that gave me immunity, even though none of us knew there was to be an immunity. To me, immunity was not important in itself….. but, the gesture of those who voted for me means more to me than immunity from eliminations ever could. However, if anyone else had been given immunity, it would not have made any difference about how I felt about today’s eliminations. No matter who had immunity, someone I loved was going home…. and there was nothing I could have done to prevent that from happening.

So, immunity was given on this day.

Following that, Allatu, PrincessNina, and Simone were evicted.

Allatu….. It was hard to see Allatu go, because she wanted to stay, and she is such an amazing builder. Quick! Some big bucked bigwig give her a job before someone else snatches her up…. she has some fabulous skill waiting to be unleashed on the world. You *cannot* go wrong with Allatu! I’ve seen her skill first hand! Allatu, we miss you already!

PrincessNina…. the spirited gal immediately went to a huge party in Nederlands. She told me to map her, and when I did, the sim she was in was FULL! I’m saddened that Nina is gone, but not too sad, because she’s incredibly happy to be free. And, mall owners, beware, she’s planning on going on a huge shopping spree. You might be on her shopping list!

Simone…. the party in Big Brother is over for Simone, but she dropped by to visit twice and I think she’s already partying as only Simone can party.

So, now we are down to three.

And only Big Brother knows what is in store for us.

Now, of course, an honorable mention goes to Big Brother’s very own Fox Diller who asked me if I had ever blogged about him. Fox Diller, a fox of many accomplishments. A fox, whom without, Big Brother would not manage to survive. A fox, whom has had many accomplishments in Second Life. A fox, named Fox. A Fox, we love!

Assignment

So, we received the latest assignment the other day, and yes, I know I never blogged anything between now and then….. and I have been downed with a flu, which is now starting to subside but still affecting me. So, this entry will be short and brief and simply describe the assignment.

1. Send an email to Big Brother and describe what we would do with an island were we to win one.

2. Also in the email, name our favorite resident.

3. Finally, build a symbol which would best represent our island.

The Evictions

Well, things didn’t turn out quite as I had expected for the evictions.

I had expected either me or Simone to be evicted by the roomates, since that’s the decision everyone else had been teetering on. In order to get the results we had today, of Pannie being evicted, at least two other roomates had to have made sudden swing votes at the last moment to change that result, or people just decided to vote differently than they had been planning.

Golda, has returned to us….. that, I did expect. Given that nearly all of the housemates had sent their supporters to vote Golda back into the house, and I did my best to send word into the furry community. Of course, this means Rencius is out of the game….. the previous post still stands, however, and I am quite sure he will do well as a builder. Good luck, Rencius.

Pannie was evicted by the housemates. I was taken by complete surprise by this. I was expecting to hear my name over any other….. and second to that, Simone’s name. Whatever happened there, I’ll never know. For my own knowledge, if any of the housemates (or former) would like to tell me who they voted for and why, it will never pass my lips. I would just like to know for my own sense of “What went down” and “Why”.

The biggest surprise was that Allatu stayed in the game. I think everyone, including Allatu herself was entirely surprised by this. I adore Allatu, and it was a very pleasant surprise to me that she made it into the next round. I’m glad Big Brother has retained the best builder. However, with the good, comes the bad…… Kit didn’t make it. As I mentioned in my previous entry, Kit strikes me as a genuine, upbeat, positive kind of woman and I was just getting to know her.

Diva is also gone, and while we’ve had our little run-ins….. they’re just things that spiraled out of being locked up in a house together for 8 hours per day. I think Diva expected to be gone this round, and from the sounds of her and Gideon’s bed springs….. I think she’s glad to be home. ;)

Phaylen is gone too…. the wonderful, classy builder has gone down the chute. Phaylen was a really great woman, and she had an amazing skill at building classical and feminine things. Between her and Allatu, I’ve learn a little about building….. and I can only hope some what I’ve learned will be shown in my future projects.

As for me….. I guess I have another week in the Big Brother House. That wouldn’t be an entirely bad thing, if not for the fact I have a horrible flu, I can barely get through the eight hours per day now, let alone another week, and I have Christmas things to do on top of all this. I’m glad on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day we only have to spend three hours online, at the very least it’ll give me a chance to recharge my batteries….. sort to speak.

Finally…..

Congradulations to those housemates who are staying….. and congradulations to those who have left. Every single one of you added something special and unique to the Big Brother experience. I hope to see you tapping on our boxes at least once a day in the coming week.

Look on the Bright Side

With all the negativity which has been going around Big Brother, the drama, the tension, the conflicts, the stress…. I’ve decided to post something a little different. I’m going to write down the names of the 14 other contestants who all started here and write something positive about them. This is not in any way intended to sway eviction votes, if you’re planning on voting me…. do so, you won’t regret it and I won’t hold it against you.

Now, onto the show…..

In the order as displayed on the Big Brother vote board, topleft to bottom right!

Madlen Flint. She seems to stay out of trouble entirely, and that has to say something good about her quality of character. I don’t know her very well, but from what I can tell she does makes some nice tattoos. If you need a tattoo, look her up.

Rencius Herber. Okay, so we’ve had a few spats and a lot of disagreements…. but I don’t hate the guy. Rencius can build, and he can build quite well. I’m sure when Big Brother is over and the dust has settled, he’ll do quite well as a builder.

PrincessNina Prefect. She’s an absolute doll. I’ve gotten to know her just a little over the past week or so, and she’s incredibly friendly and really quite fun. As far as I know, she hasn’t had a bad word to say about anyone…. she’s just a nice person to be around over all.

Pannie Paperdoll. A freespirited builder…. she enjoys making fun, random creations. And I do love the penguins…. especially the bondage one. We worked well in the builder/scripter teams on the Chirstmas challenge. If you want something cute and cuddley made, look her up.

Phaylen Fairchild. Another wonderful woman who I’ve yet to hear say anything bad about anyone. She’s got a flair for the elegant, and if you want something classy built….. she’s definitely the one to talk to.

Simone Spicer. Another I’ve had a spat here or there with, but again…. I don’t hate the girl or have any personal grudges. Simone is another free spirited girl who just likes to have fun, and what’s wrong with trying to have a bit of fun? Absolutely nothing! Party on, Simone!

TheDiva Rockin. She says she can’t build, but that…. I will tell you…. is not true. TheDiva has built a few things throughout Big Brother. And she has an artist’s touch and some skill. I think if she keeps it up…. she could become quite a good builder.

Warda Katabawa. Warda has always been level headed. She never sought to cause anyone any problems I could see, and she’s another who can build quite well. Almost every day she had a different avatar…. many of them customized, and they are all quite good. You should see the 50 Foot Furry.

Simon Walsh. An interesting conversation with an unpredictable end would always come from Simon, of that you could always be sure of….. and he is a passionate advocate, at the very least.

Lorita Laguna. I never saw her much. I never got to know her, but as far as beauty went….. she had it.

Allatu Augustus. Can we say, “Insane building skill.”? Allatu is by far one of the best and fastest builders I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. She’s also a sweetheart to boot. If you need something big, elaborate, and intensive built…. I’d suggest you hire Allatu.

Kit Maitland. I’ve only spoken with her a few times, but to me…. Kit is genuine. She doesn’t get involved in any of the drama and that has to be commended. Her blog is always upbeat and positive….. so, I can’t imagine her being anything other than she portrays herself to be. A genuine, positive, upbeat kind of girl.

Golda Stein. “The Rat”, and I mean those words in a loving way. I’ve gotten to know Golda a bit, and she’s definitely someone you could befriend easily. She looks at the bigger picture instead of the prize. She’s one rat you definitely want in your house.

Gideon Television. If you like smart ass, wise cracking, attention getting, yet somewhat down to earth men….. then Gideon is your man. Gideon Television is a name which suits him because entertainment he is….. but that’s not a negative thing. Time flies when you’re watching Television.

So, there you have it.

14 other housemates past and present, and something positive about each one.

When I leave Big Brother tomorrow…. I’m not leaving on a negative note.

The Edge of Elimination

A few people have asked me what I thought about being, potentially, the biggest “target” of the housemate vote.

Well, for one…. I take that as an incredible compliment.

Housemates who eye me as the target of their eviction vote see me as the biggest threat in the game and the most powerful player by virtue of the popular vote. Now, with that said, some housemates have also said they don’t want to vote for me in a housemate eviction because they know once I’m on the outside I will take my support to another housemate and campaign on their behalf, making another housemate an even bigger opponent than I was. Two housemates said it best when they said, “It doesn’t matter where you are, you’re still a threat to me winning.” So, they are questioning whether or not they should keep me in the game and try to beat me directly, or evicting me from the house and allowing me to combine my support with another housemate’s support….. creating an even tougher opponent.

Next, contrary to what some people have been saying (particularly Rencius and Simone), I *never* once declared “victory”. Anyone who has actually spoken to me or read my blog here have heard me say repeatedly, “I have no illusions of winning an island”…. because I knew that Big Brother was not going to stay a popular vote from the very beginning. I’ve told most of the housemates there *will* be housemate evictions….. and now, it has come to pass.

No, there will be no hard feelings toward anyone if they choose to evict me. This is a game, and I’ll be just as happy on the outside of the glass as I would be on the inside of the glass. When I entered Big Brother, my goal was not to win an island….. it never was. My goal was to be a part of the Big Brother experience, to take part in the build projects and build/script things I wouldn’t normally do, and gain even more exposure for my businesses, the Dictatorshop and LaserTech. I’ve also made some wonderful friends….. and best of all…. I’ve kept my integrity throughout the weeks I’ve been here and not once did I lie, cheat, steal, seduce, or buy a single vote.

Finally, some have asked….. who will I support in the event of my eviction? Who will potentially gain the 100s of votes that are cast for me in Big Brother? Well now, you’re going to have to wait until they evict me to find out. :)

The Housemate Vote

So, the residents have to choose a housemate who must leave the house.

I did see this coming all along….. and I know, yes, it makes me the biggest target in the house. I’ve said this from the beginning, and in previous blog entries. And hence, the reason why I’ve said, “I have no illusions of winning an island.” I don’t believe this will be the last housemate vote either….. I would be willing to bet that the winner between the final two will be chosen by former housemates. Big Brother meets Survivor.

Right now, I can also see the tough choice some of the housemates are going to have to make. If the housemates are only interested in winning….. their vote *has* to be me. If the housemates want to evict someone who has worked hard, supported others, and played fairly through every step of the game…. again, their vote *has* to be me. That’s not an easy choice to make.

For me, thankfully, the choice is much easier….. I will vote to evict the person who has done the least amount of work and caused the most amount of trouble. I can stay true to my convinctions, and I can make my choice without a single regret or ever having to second guess myself and ask, “Did I make the right choice?”

I considered all of the housemates and with each and every one I asked this question, “Does this person deserve to be evicted?” And if the answer was “Yes.” I thought carefully about why they should be evicted. One name stood out above all others.

However, should I get put on the outside of the glass…. I will, of course, encourage all my supporters and allies to support the next housemate of my choice who I believe has played with their heart, and made conscience choices through the game, not win or lose choices….. and chances are, we can and will put that person #1 in the votes, and win them an island, even if they are on the very brink of elimination, especially since I can do more effective campaigning outside the box than inside the box.

The Experience

A few people are saying things along the lines, “This is just a game, don’t take it so seriously” while at the same time these are the same people who are more or less inciting the fights, the drama, and intentionally causing conflicts. This includes people inside and outside the box. But then, it could be Big Brother just getting the best of everyone, and bringing out the worst….. or not…. or does it really matter?

A lot of the housemates have said, they’ll take the best of Big Brother with them once they leave the house….. but I have to ask, how will they prevent themselves from taking the worst of it with them as well?

Scripting In Silence…..

…..and then.

I hear an incredible racket coming from Room 1.

I’m not even going to bother blogging about it, because quite frankly, it’s just silly.
